My creative practice

I’ve always loved creating. I paint for fun, take photos, and enjoy noticing the small creative discoveries in everyday life. I have a BA in Fine Arts and a Master’s degree in Art Education. I don’t currently work in the art field, but I don’t regret studying it—it remains an important part of who I am.

This space is where I keep that work together-paintings, photos, and the messy in-between. You’ll find quick sketches, experiments, finished pieces, and little series that trace what I’ve been noticing lately.

My practice is slow and honest. I try things, see what happens, and let some pieces stay a bit rough around the edges. I’m still finding my audience, one person at a time, and I’m happy to let it grow that way.

A warm, natural-light editorial still life for an artist's personal portfolio page: an unfinished colourful painting on paper beside a small camera, a few paintbrushes, paint tubes, sketchbook pages, and subtle everyday objects. The mood is relaxed, playful, curious, and honest—painting for fun, making little discoveries, and finding one's audience over time. Soft ivory highlights, muted pink and purple tones, touches of sage, gentle contrast, tactile fine-grain texture, intimate not overly polished, no people, no text, no café imagery.
A small study in looking, making, and noticing.

A simple, close look at how I work—how colour, texture, repetition, and small details come together with memory and everyday life to build each piece, one step at a time.

There’s room for a conversation.

A shared thought, a creative connection, or a small note about what you’re making—I’d love to hear what brought you to Lara Unscripted, what kind of art and creativity you’re drawn to, or what you’re curious about in your own work.
